Visual Effects I/O for Stargate Atlantis, pulled visual effects plates and their associated elements from raw footage using Final Cut Pro for delivery to FX Vendors
  • Collecting, trimming to spec, exporting raw HD camera footage as image sequences for all elements of each VFX shot using Final Cut Pro (and excel) for delivery to Image Engine, Rainmaker, Stage 3, etc.
  • Archival and organization of all exported and imported image sequence clips for quick comparison for production staff.
  • Importing of completed VFX sequences and temps from vendors into Final Cut Pro using Quicktime Pro.
  • Adding Slates when necessary to incoming footage, basic assessment of possible footage errors.
  • Creation of high quality Log Cuts for all sets of sequences received for review by the VFX coordinator for each episode.
  • Creation of high quality timecode burned logs of all episode production cuts including timecode for both show and source footage off of the actual editor’s Final Cut timeline of the episode.
  • Professional labeling of all DVD’s to be sent to coordinators or vendors
  • Consultation on possible sources of contamination for certain shots by comparison for production and vfx personnel of various footages archived by myself.
