Saw on the news
someone's little dog died
licking her paws
Chemical de-icers
sold off the shelves in hardware stores
we must keep our walks clean
with poison
Like salt doesn't work anymore
or its cheaper to use poison
or the poison lasts longer
who's gonna take them to court?
spend money to prove
our little friend died
from lack of regulation
stupidity
In the summer I watch fastidiously
I have for years
they poison the grass
to kill those evil dandelions
while children and puppies
burn their feet
