that the Harper gov't has created by changing the CRTC rules
creating State sanctioned corporate media monopolies.
Then he killed govt funding for documentary films
because he didn't like the fact that documentaries
about bad govt, corporate theft, and queers
were being made in "his" country.
Made it so every newspaper and TV station
could be owned by a single conglomerate
which means we really only hear one voice
our daily programming.

Not the hippies and quiet drinkers
being mellow, sipping their beers and passing joints
with kids and dogs playing

I guess I should have let it be
the woman who had a dog with mange

but I like dogs, and at least a dozen other dogs
sit where that dog was sitting
I could have not told her
that mange is contagious
I could have let it slide
and watched all the dogs I know start scratching
but I didn't
and now the "posse" wants to kill
drives me from the park
for "dissing" their auntie.

I wonder why they don't take that dog to the vet

where would anyone get good dope?
