Every day there is more violence
The police are shown doing their cleanup
which is really what they do
and they entreat the public once again
to "help them make the streets safer"
but few people seem to call
There's a reason for it.
A few in fact
but altogether they amount to the same thing
the police will just take notes
no charges will be laid against the asshole or assholes
unless there is absolute proof
lying in plain sight
proof so plain a simple bull
can sniff it without thinking
Even then
24 hours later
the fucker will be back out
the citizen who called them
will have no protection
and when the attending officers drive away
the citizen and/or their family
will be attacked
when the police come again
there will be no witnesses
just curtains closed
they will say their "there's not really anything we can do" line
the citizen will have to deal with the hospital
pain and suffering
lost employment
further attacks
any group can target someone
bring them down
fuck them over
they'll call the police and make it look
like the good man is "attacking us"
for trying to protect himself
in the end there is no way
and everyone knows
if the bad guys want you badly enough
$40k can buy a couple police
to make it all legal
come on, think about it
that's a years wages
the good citizen who dares to speak
becomes the bad guy
in some little set up or another
with lots of witnesses
each one of them, part of that "gang"
and every single citizen of Canada
knows this
and that's why they don't
have anything they can do
but live with it
or join in

and just as then
the masses in poverty
can't fight back against
the money they have
the swarms of minions
good people who want to be peaceful
protest peacefully
and know they will not really be able
to call the police
against forces and groups
that have more money and weapons
and lot's more people
than the police have
so what citizen in their right mind
will give information or speak out
or call and lay a charge of bullying, slander, theft
so an officer might get a credit for an arrest
while the good citizen loses everything
after the policeman has left
