I was watching one of those sci fi utopias
Star Trek.
All the pretty people in leotards, nobody sick
when they get sick the doctor shows them what's wrong
in full hi-rez widescreen
then fixes it
I look at our society
all the people
hobbling, limping, squinting, broken teeth or backs or hips
not enough money
to buy
painkillers/medicine/...
We actually have the resources to health
for all people
and their pets
but we would surround ourselves with suffering
rather than take our eyes off of the Holy Profit
I watch dogs scratching
Fleas are a big problem in B.C.
but a dose of flea control is $20
even though it was manufactured for 5 cents
there are a lot of people that can't afford that extra $19.50
of Holy Profit
People die in Canada all the time
of curable treatable things
even worse I see people
in pain for years
when the prescription drugs and surgery they need
is in
abundance
it just "costs" more than they can afford
We have become a strange society
