International Arts Prize - why the fuck isn't it for Canadians?

Do you know how many poverty stricken Canadian artists there are?
Give $25 million in fucking prizes to Canucks for art.
Rich fuckers and fucking "international prestige" bullshit.

Why don't they just build another one of those expensive fucking monuments or rotundas with a plaque that litter every Canadian city, you know, the ones that no one fucking uses and everyone always wonders why it it was built in the first place...

Canadian artists can't even be seen in Canadian galleries until they've been dead for 50 fucking years, so yeah, let's just pay a bunch of living artists from OTHER countries!!
That'll make us cool, eh?

I wondered why Amanda Tapping would be laughing at me, there I was standing in the xmas party line to get a beer, and someone I didn't know, who shouldn't have any reason to even notice me, was laughing, gesturing and whispering in R. Cooper's ear. I didn't have anything stuck to my back, I know I looked fine. Then it struck me. She knew the whole story. It was just a great joke to her, all this money being spent, and me, the originator of much of these ideas, with nothing.
I looked all around me at the party then, and I began to see, all the low paid people, the lowly crew, all of them were struggling, they all had serious life problems, their lives were being sucked away by these rich energy vampires...who were laughing...
