E.I. should kick in immediately when you lose your job.

It should NOT be dependent on your savings being used up first
You paid into it, so that you wouldn't have to lose your savings when you were between jobs
There's a $50 BILLION dollar surplus
It should be paying for WAGE SUBSIDIES to get people into long term employment
It should be paying for EDUCATIONAL GRANTS
but for the second or third time in 2 decades
its a fucking cash cow to the ruling elite
they're drooling all over themselves about how they can steal it
WE PAID for it on the understanding it would be used to help us get EMPLOYMENT
now it's just another tax the poor have been paying all along
business owners don't pay it, we, the working people do
It should be used for what it was collected for
the Supreme Court should rule that money collected under the auspices of delivering a public service must remain dedicated to THAT service, not just yanked out for general revenue.
Pay your rich fuck buddies out of your own pocket you fat cats
I paid into EMPLOYMENT INSURANCE
and when I'm looking for a job, I should have EMPLOYMENT SERVICES actually doing something for me related to EMPLOYMENT.
When they steal this $50 Billion, that will be over $75 Billion stolen in less than 2 decades.
Think about that while you apply for a coffee barista job with your degree in hand....
