In the Mirror

In the Mirror
I saw a face
that was not mine
an image
that was you
and yet
I see a dream

In the Mirror
I loved a soul
as cold as glass
your spirit
consumed in fires
of quiet strength
unleashed

I melted like the mirror
and yet
I did not burn
